General Visa Information

The Thailand eVisa is an electronic travel authorization that allows citizens of eligible countries to travel to and around Thailand for tourism purposes. The online visa grants its holder a 15-day stay in Thailand from the date of arrival.

The Thailand eVisa on arrival can be obtained by completing an easy and straightforward online application. There is no need to visit an embassy or consulate to obtain the online eVisa in order to visit Thailand. The Thailand eVisa on arrival was introduced to facilitate the visa request process.

The Thailand eVisa holder can travel to Thailand for a stay of up to 15 days.

The Thailand eVisa on arrival allows a single entry to the country. The validity of the eVisa for Thailand begins upon the first day of arrival.

Travelers can apply for the Thailand eVisa online at any time. Thailand eVisa is valid for a period of 30 days from the day the visa has been approved. However , if the departure date is later than 30 days, the approved Thailand eVisa will be sent prior to the trip taking into consideration the arrival date.

To apply online for a Thailand eVisa, applicants need the following:

  • Bangkok - Suvarnabhumi International Airport - BKK
  • Bangkok - Don Mueang International Airport - DMK
  • Phuket - Phuket International Airport - HKT
  • Chiang Mai - Chiang Mai International Airport - CNX
  • An approved eVisa on arrival allows entry through the following designated International Airports:

  • A valid passport with at least one month from the intended date of arrival
  • A valid email address to receive the approved Thailand eVisa and/or notifications
  • A credit or debit card to make payment
  • Minors who have their own passport must submit an individual eVisa on arrival application. Minors who are included in their parent’s passport do not need to apply for an eVisa for Thailand. When completing the eVisa application, the parent can add the minor as long as they are included in their passport. The parent will be required to provide information about the minor during the application process.

    Once the application form is complete and all requested information has been provided the Thailand eVisa will be processed within 2 business day(s), in some cases it can take up to 5 business day(s).

    Once you receive your approved Thailand eVisa on arrival, you must print at least one copy of the document and present it to the border authorities at a port of entry, you can use the dedicated fast line for eVisa on arrival. The Thailand eVisa must be presented along with the passport used for the online application.

    Updates and notifications of the Thailand eVisa application will be sent to you via email, to the email address you provided when completing the application.
